Abstract

The authors describe the utilization of telemedicine technology to provide psychiatry residents with a 10-week series of seminars on the subject of managed care. Residents at two schools of medicine participated in a series of interactive seminars with presenters at distant sites through the use of telemedicine technology. The authors describe a cost-effective approach to teaching managed-care concepts to residents, using telemedicine technology to allow experts to present from distant sites.
