N2 - Acute and sub chronic oral administration of Sida rhomboidea.Roxb (SR) aqueous leaf extract did not register any adverse behavioral alterations or significant toxic manifestations. However, significant decrement in food intake and body weight gain along with higher plasma AST and ALT levels were recorded with a dose of 3000 mg/kg body weight. It is inferred that SR extract is non-toxic, therefore, safe for consumption.
