Abstract

A highly efficient synthesis of some novel symmetrical bis spiro-indoles has been achieved by cyclocondensation of hitherto unknown bis Schiff's bases with mercaptoacetic acid in water. The structures of the new compounds have been deduced by elemental analysis and spectral data.
