Abstract
The Fourth International Conference on Postoperative Healing & Adhesions was held on October 22 to 24, 1999 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This meeting had more than 100 attendees representing nine countries, 23 universities, and 17 companies. This meeting had representatives from seven medical specialties and two Federal Government agencies, indicating an increased recognition of the problem of adhesion at sites throughout the body and a desire to reduce their development.
