Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is to provide an overview of basic concepts surrounding billing for anesthesia services. While there are numerous sources available on the topic of reimbursement, most include significant detail, which can be overwhelming. The authors aim to organize and present the material in a straightforward format even for the reader with no prior exposure to the subject. To help facilitate this the authors have minimized detailed technical language and organized the chapter so that information builds in a stepwise manner from section to section. Key concepts have been extracted from the literature and supplementary sources and rearranged into focused and easily digestible sections.
