Abstract

Prenatal hypoxia and adaptive cell and tissue brain reaction have been investigated in rat embryos. Signs of apoptosis have been determined in brain tissue after 1 hour of hypoxidation of 13 day-old embryos. At the final stages of embryogenesis brain degeneration has decreased, but migration of neuroblasts was abnormal. At this period defense antihypoxial brain reactions have been formed. Induction of NOS activity in brain vessels stimulated oxygen transport in brain. This reaction was probably compensating in conditions of hypoxia.
