Abstract

Closure of MVSD has evolved over the last several years with more and more procedures being performed in the catheterization laboratory. Patients with complex defects and technically difficult procedures have the option of perventricular approach. Recent approval of Amplatzer MVSD occluder will further increase interventional procedures in this arena. The procedure remains challenging despite all advancements in the realm of interventions.
