Abstract

Adv. Mater. 2019, 31, 1907833 DOI: 10.1002/adma.201907833 An incorrect term used in Section 2.1.1. of the published review is hereby corrected. In the following paragraph, the term “pseudomineralization” was used erroneously, and the paragraph is corrected here to refer to “pseudo-biomineralization”, a fairly recently discovered mineral–microbe interaction. “…Bacteria employ three behavioral strategies to deal with mineralizing conditions: 1) evasion of mineralization by the formation of biofilms, 2) random embedding within the mineral, and 3) control over the mineral shape during its formation. The latter has been coined “pseudo-biomineralization” and enables fine control over mineral morphology with changes in external calcifying conditions…”.
