Abstract
Fecal incontinence is a symptom with complex etiology and pathogenesis. A detailed history, digital rectal examination, and anorectal physiological tests facilitate accurate diagnosis. Antidiarrheals, behavioral modification and biofeedback therapies are mainstay therapies and there is growing evidence-based data for these and other management approaches.
