Abstract
Imaging congenital and acquired heart disease in children is a growing, complex, and highly technical field. The most exciting area of advancement is not in anatomic definition, but in the area of imaging cardiac function and metabolism. Appropriate use of current imaging techniques requires broad-based knowledge of the safe and technical use of these modalities and clinical experience with congenital heart defects.
