Linear salpingostomy for ectopic pregnancy

Abstract

Linear salpingostomy is currently the procedure of choice for most cases of tubal ectopic pregnancy. The indications for the procedure, technique, and postoperative management are discussed. Future reproductive performance is encouraging, with intrauterine pregnancy rates approaching 60% for laparoscopic salpingostomy.
