Abstract

Process integrity is an important but yet to be a well established concept in the context of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA). The process integrity in SOA is built around and on top of widely established concepts of data integrity. However, as this paper explores further, mere data integrity concept to address all integrity requirements of complex enterprise-wide business processes is largely insufficient. This is precisely the reason to introduce process integrity as a concept to help address more complex and challenging requirements spanning multiple IT systems. This paper provides an overview of the problem scope, common recommendations for optimizing process integrity, and how they fit into the over all scope of an SOA.
