Abstract

Click chemistry belongs to a set of efficient, versatile, and regiospecific reactions that are easy to adopt in molecular diversity and complex natural products. This approach enables the development of diverse sets of natural product hybrid conjugates either to optimize their drawbacks or to construct natural product-like drug candidates. This chapter showcases the state-of-the-art utilization of click chemistry in natural product derivatizations and their pharmacological applications. This chapter aims to gain a deep understanding of the 1,2,3-triazole scaffold and its impacts, perspectives, trends, as well as future directions in natural product medicinal chemistry research.
