Abstract
Several periodontal factors are critical to the prognosis of overdenture abutment teeth. This lltetatute review outlines these factors and discusses the docttmented effects of long-term overdenture tise on periodontal health. The efficacy of a professional petiodontai maintetiance program, which is coordinated wilh a home oral hygiene program, is tetated to the sticcess of overdenture therapy.
