Abstract

We successfully cultured prostatic epithelial cells from the nonhuman primate and developed an in vitro in vivo model system for possible use in the study of prostatic disease. We used light and electron microscopy studies and prostatic acid phosphatase staining to verify this system as viable secretory prostatic epithelial cells.
