Abstract

The third annual meeting of the Androgen Excess Society, held in San Diego, California, June 3, 2005, reported on new developments in the field, including intrafollicular steroidogenesis, intrathecal biochemistry, mechanisms of insulin signal and resistance of polycystic ovary syndrome, and novel aspects of androgen signaling. The experience of the 21-OH-deficient Nonclassical Adrenal Hyperplasia (NCAH) Multicenter Study Group was also discussed, along with a keynote presentation on the molecular aspects of 3β-HSD-deficient NCAH.
