Retrosigmoid approach

Abstract

The retrosigmoid approach is an ideal approach for lateral posterior fossa pathology. This approach provides direct access to the lateral cerebellar hemisphere, cerebellopontine angle, and lateral skull base, including the posterior petrous bone.
