Abstract
The marginal integrity of dentine adhesives bonded to enamel and dentine, before and after thermo-mechanical loading (TML) was investigated. All adhesives under investigation exhibited a certain amount of deterioration relating to marginal quality in enamel and dentine. It was found that Enamel bonding was more effective with phosphoric acid-etching. For self-etch adhesives, the all-in-one bonding approach was less effective than 2-step self-etch systems that encompass the use of separate hydrophobic bonding resins, especially in bonding to dentine.
