About the Project

The International Conference on Cryptology and Network Security (CANS) is a well-recognized international forum for presenting research in the field of security and cryptography that has served the research community. CANS 2023 will take place in Augusta, Georgia from October 31 to November 2. CANS provides an opportunity for students to be exposed to cutting edge solutions to computer security problems, as well as the cryptologic theory that underlies secure computing systems. This grant allows 20 students to participate in CANS who would not have been able to participate otherwise. Participation in CANS provides the opportunity for the students to learn about the latest technological trends and research directions related to computer and network security. This award reflects NSF's statutory mission and has been deemed worthy of support through evaluation using the Foundation's intellectual merit and broader impacts review criteria.
