Abstract
Multiple databases are available related to pediatric and congenital cardiac care. The ability to utilize databases to compare risk-stratified and risk-adjusted outcomes has facilitated improved survival after surgery over the past decade. This chapter reviews eight key aspects of databases for pediatric and congenital cardiac care and reflects on the role artificial intelligence (AI) may play in each.
