I am most grateful to my friend and colleague Andrew Chambers, MD, for his input and direction on this issue of the journal. In 2008, Dr. Chambers hosted the Second National Conference on Dual Diagnosis in Indianapolis, IN. The conference, supported by the Indiana Department of Mental Health and the Department of Psychiatry, Indiana University School of Medicine, was a resounding success. Dr. Chambers did an outstanding job gathering together a stellar group of presenters. As this collection of “mini articles” from the conference illustrates, the breadth of material was particularly impressive.
