Abstract
The diagnosis, management, and experimental therapeutics of diffuse gliomas depend heavily on neuroimaging. This chapter will cover these subjects with a focus on imaging features that are specific to oligodendrogliomas. We will discuss routine diagnostic imaging techniques as well as advanced imaging features. The recent redefinition of oligodendroglioma based on the presence of 1/p19q deletion provides a new opportunity to examine whether molecularly defined subsets of gliomas have unique correlates with anatomic and physiologic features as defined by imaging.
