Abstract

This paper develops and analyzes a mathematical model for vector-borne diseases. An essential metric, the basic reproduction number, has been found for the model. The influence of different parameters such as temperature, population density, etc. on the model behavior is demonstrated through sensitivity analysis. Research on their effect on vector-borne illnesses will improve the translation of public health initiatives aimed at lowering exposure and preventing illness.
