Abstract
A combination of flexible and rigid extensions can be used on a prosthesis to provide stability, retention, decreased weight, and obturation of residual palatal defects. The combination extensions present a design of a maxillofacial prosthesis which takes maximum advantage of the patient's remaining anatomy.
