Abstract

The Ryan White Program at Augusta University (AU RWP) collaborated with community partner, Golden Harvest Food Bank (GHFB), and conducted a food insecurity assessment for the program’s client population as well as interviews with the Ryan White medical case managers on the feasibility of incorporating food assistance into the Ryan White Program’s services. The duel assessments provided insight into ways to meet the food access needs of the clients at the clinic. Further, the pilot allowed AU RWP and GHFB to approach the creation of a partnership without wasting additional funds and effort that would be unsustainable for either organization.
