Oral Health and Diagnostic Sciences

Our faculty are engaged in research activities consistent with the research emphasis of Augusta University. This is composed of not only oral/dental-relevant areas including adhesive dentistry, bone biology, periodontal wound healing/regeneration, salivary gland and biomaterials, but also Augusta University-wide areas of focus including renal and cardiovascular disease, obesity and diabetes, and cancer. Thus, the Diagnostic Sciences faculty regularly publishes in a wide range of dental and medical journals. It is noteworthy that the many of our faculty members hold joint appointments in the College of Graduate Studies which is highly conducive to their collaborative work with Augusta University faculty in the Colleges of Medicine, Allied Health and Nursing.
